# Competitions

Competitions turn your onchain activity into something measurable, comparable, and rewardable.

Layer3 aggregates live competitions from across the market into one hub. Instead of hunting through individual apps for trading contests, volume races, and PnL battles, you find them all in one place and compete where you have an edge.

## How it works

The model is simple:

**Activity → Performance → Rank → Reward**

1. **Join** a live competition from the [Competitions hub](https://app.layer3.xyz/competitions).
2. **Compete**: your qualifying activity is tracked automatically while the competition runs.
3. **Climb the leaderboard** as your performance stacks up against other participants.
4. **Win** your share of the prize pool when the competition settles.

## Every competition is different

Each competition defines its own:

* **Metric**: what's measured (volume, PnL, ROI, or another performance measure).
* **Rules and duration**: what activity counts, where, and for how long.
* **Prize pool**: what's at stake and how it's split across the leaderboard.

Read the competition details before you join so you know exactly what's measured and what it takes to win.
